i think you can make ads for money but why a new server? nothing against it ;D

He didn't buy a new server, he bought a DNS. DNS prices are usually dirt cheap, so I can't imagine it would have cost much for a relatively obscure (to any non-minecraft-player) one like vanillaminecraft.com =]
As for the ads, it seems the view counter goes by a combination of IP and user. If you're not logged in, or using a different IP address then you'll see the ads regardless of your 5 views. Stay logged in and stay on the same system and you will only see them 5 times.

I found out why i see more than 5 of those horible justin bieber adds a day. It's because when i restart the browser the counter restarts as well.

I've had that server laying around, the domain was very very cheap and it came out of my own money.
