App Indexing notably became Firebase App Indexing in May 2016, and many of the original firm's tools have been readapted for Google.
Google therefore believes that the "Explore as Google" feature for mobile applications is no longer relevant because it is easier than before to carry out app indexing but also because Firebase also has its own testing tools.
